Romo - A Danish Island only 30 Minutes from Sylt

The ferry from Sylt to Romo is almost a secret tip for people who want to save money. The car train which comes from the mainland in Germany is quite expensive. Those who drive to Denmark and take the ferry to Sylt are wise. It was fun to take our bicycles on the ferry to Romo to spend a day in the sun.

Mama’s Milk Tastes Best

While Horst and Karin found a coffee shop, I rode the bicycle to the north end of the island and found nothing but empty fields.

End of Trail - 300 meters ahead is the beach.

The center of the island is far more interesting.

I was surprised to find some hills and a hiking trail.

The trail went along a ridge which I followed.

It led to an interesting forest.

The forest flattened out with some sandy spots.

On top of the hill was a bench with a view to houses in the East.

The prettiest place on the island was this lake - it was well hidden in the forest and very unlikely that many people could find it.

On the west side of the island was chaos - people everywhere.
