It started out with food and continued with something they called the “Roscoe Challenge” and everyone participated.

Anyone who was not participating watched.

Ben, attempting to do a head stand.

Who would ever doubt this daring man’s abilities?

By far my favorite was the “Animal Sounds” contest:

I think this is supposed to be a monkey.

Kenny imitated a sheep.

Josh was my favorite animal. I think he was a gorilla.

It was always funny when someone blinked.

Next was the “Face Post-it” contest.

No one dared to talk for fear that they might fall off!

Fantastic, Joyce! She’s in the running for certain!

I don’t renenber who won this contest, but the winner
had 136 post-its on their face.

The Sycamore Shelter at Spring Mill State Park was the perfect choice for a family reunion.

Chris gives the kids some tips about playing soccer.

And, of course, the Roscoe Challenge had to be moderated.

The kids loved Ithe funny face contest.

In the middle of one contest, the kids found a frog, which was a highlight in itself.

Mark demonstrates his “Funny Human” trick.

He made it!!!

The staring contest required concentration.

Jenna won  the “Fruit Rolling” contest hands down.
They look like lizard tongues.

Discussions abound when the family gets together!

Mark and Matt had quite a time starting the charcoal on the grill with no lighter fluid, but in the end - Success!

Kent’s metal detector was a real hit for the kids, who looked for treasures in the ground for more than an hour!

After the picnic, the fun continued at the pool in the Spring Mill Inn.

Now it is clear to me that the McCarty men are
“Wild and Crazy” guys.

I should know - I count myself as one of them!

Let’s see how far can we throw Mike? Even 4 men had difficulty with that task.

Janna has a look of endearing disbelief on her face.

Tossing one of the kids into the air was a piece of cake.

The men are plotting something sensational here.

Jan and Jim really got a kick out of that attempt.

Finally, they were able to launch Ben.

Chris had fun taming flys.
This one sat on his hand for longer than a minute.
