Echternach Basilika

After attending the concert in Echternach, I revisited the basilica to take a photograph of a sculpture of Christ that was partially destroyed during WWII. The lighting effect of the shadow makes it look like a person in prayer.

Nach dem Konzert habe ich ein Foto vom Christskulptur gemacht, die im 2.Weltkrieg halb zerstört war. Die Beleuchtung deutet nicht nur Christus, sondern auch ein Mensch im Gebet.

This is my last night in Echternach - a long 3-day break with much rain and cold weather. OK, a little luxury never hurt - I stayed in a small bed and breakfast place.
