In reference to Christ’s first miracle of turning water into wine, a large banner hangs over the entrance to the church courtyard, that contains words from a verse in John 2:5 where Mary, the mother of Jesus said to her servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” |

After the church service, the people walked 5 kilometers to the village for the elderly and kindergarten in Alcalar, where they enjoyed a bit of food and fun together. In the photograph on the left are some people who dressed up like biblical figures. On the right, a lady dressed in her native costume from Africa. Since Angola at one time belonged to Portugal, many Angolans move to Portugal for education and employment. |
