		The Karl’s Bridge -- the most famous attraction in Prague -- is always crowded with tourists. Musicians, artists, and jugglers line the bridge every day.

The sculpture, "Il Commendatore" or "Pieta" (made by Anna Chromy) in front of the entrance of "Stavovske Divadlo" Opera House, serves as a reminder that the "Don Giovanni" of Mozart had its grand opening in this opera on October 29th, 1787. The themes of Anna Chromy's work are based on mythology, music and dance and her religious beliefs. Anna Chromy is the only artist who has cast a complete Mozart opera, the Don Giovanni, in bronze.

Die Skulptur, "Il Commendatore" oder "Pieta" (von Anna Chromy) vor dem Eingang des "Stavovske Divadlo" Opera Haus, sollte daran erinnern, dass "Don Giovanni" von Mozart sein Debut hier am 29.10.1787 stattgefunden hat. Die Themen von Anna Chromys Arbeit sind basiert auf Mythologie, Musik und Tanz, und ihre religiöse Glaubensrichtung. Anna Chromy ist die einzige Künstler, die ein komplettes Oper, Mozarts Don Giovanni, in Bronze.


	Equally as strange as a sculpture without a face is this sculpture of only a face, apparently that of a young child.


	Genauso seltsam wie eine Skulptur ohne ein Gesicht ist dieser Skulptur von NUR einem Gesicht, scheinbar das eines jungen Kindes.


	Il Commendatore (von Anna Chromy)


	Every hour on the hour, in addition to various mechanical musical antics in the tower, the bell on the atomic clock on the west side of the marketplace tolls. While the bell is counting off the hours, a trumpeter plays his trumpet live from the top of the tower.

	Jede Stunden, zusätzlich zu verschiedene mechanische musikalische Spielereien im Turm, die Glocke bei der atomischen Uhr auf der West- Seite des Marktes tönt. Während die Uhr die Stunden zählt, ein Trompeter spielt seine Trompete “live” vom Gipfel des Turmes.

		This Bronze-Statue, sculpted by the English Sculptor, Kaivalya Topy, represents the Indian Meditation Teacher, Sri Chinmoy, a spiritual master, musician, artist and visionary. The statue is located on the grounds of the Kampa Museum, directly on the shoreline of the Moldau River. The statue is dedicated to Sri Chinmoys life solely to promote religious harmony and oneness between the peoples and nations of the world.

	Dieser Bronze-Statue, vom englischen Bildhauer Kaivalya Topy, repräsentiert ein indischer Meditationslehrer, Sri Chinmoy, ein spiritueller Meister, Musiker, Künstler und Visionär, Der Statue steht auf dem Gelände des Museums Kampa, direkt am Ufer der Moldau. Der Statue ist Sri Chinmoys Leben gänzlich der Förderung von religiöser Harmonie und religiösem Einssein zwischen den Völkern und Nationen gewidmet“.

		Miminka Baby Crawling Up the Television Tower


	The Miminka Babies were designed by the Czech sculptor and artist David Cerny and are located at the Tower Praha, the television tower. These black sculptures were supposed to be there only during 2000, but since they helped change the opinion of the citizens about the location of the television tower (considered "a shadow over the Old Town"), they are going to stick around, maybe even permanently.

		Die Miminka Babies, hergestellt vom Tschechischen Künstler, David Cerny, sind auf dem “Tower Praha”, der Fernsehturm. Diese schwarze Skulpturen sollten nur während Jahr 2000 sein, aber weil sie geholfen haben, die Meinung der Bürger über die Stelle der Fernsehturms zu ändern (ein so genannter “Schatten über der Altstadt”), werden sie eine Zeitlang da bleiben, vielleicht sogar permanent.




		More Miminka Babies



		The Old Jewish Cemetery was established in the first half of the 15th century. Along with the Old-New Synagogue, it is one of the most important historic sites in Prague´s Jewish Town. The oldest tombstone, which marks the grave of the poet and scholar Avigdor Karo, dates from the year 1439. Burials took place in the cemetery until 1787. Today it contains 12,000 tombstones.

		Der alte jüdische Friedhof wurde im 15. Jahrhundert etabliert. Zusammen mit der “Alt-Neu” Synagoge, ist er einer der wichtigsten Orte in in Prags Judenstadt. Der älteste Grabstein, in dem der Dichter und Gelehrter, Avigdor Karo, begraben ist, wurde 1439 hergestellt. Juden wurden hir bis 1787 begraben. Heute gibt es dort ca. 12.000 Grabsteine.

						The play “Woyzeck” was presented by TEGS (Theatrical Club of the Ernst Göbel School) in Höchst. It was recast and modified several times by the students in the school. Here are a few scenes from the play. Das Theaterstück “Woyzeck” wurde von TEGS (Theaterverein der Ernst Göbel Schule) in Höchst. Es wurde wieder bearbeitet und mehrmals modifiziert von den Schülern. Hier sind einige Szenen des Theaterstücks.

After the play, the actors climbed this hill in the wilderness area west of Prague to celebrate their last play of the season.

Nach dem Theaterstück haben die Schauspieler diesen Berg in der Wildnisgebiet westlich von Prag bestiegen um ihren letzten Auftritt des Saisons zu feiern.
