	My wife, Angela, always wanted to go to Grasse on the French Riviera. Grasse is the perfume capital of the world. So we decided to travel there so she could take a course in mixing perfume. In the meantime, a friend of mine, Robert van der Werf, and I wanted to spend some time cycling in the area. Our first visit -- Cannes, where the 61st International Film Festival was in full swing.




		Meine Frau, Angela, wollte seit langem nach Grasse auf der Französische Riviera hinfahren. Grasse ist der Parfum Hauptstadt der Welt; daher habe wir entschieden dahin zu fahren, damit sie ein Workshop zum Parfum mischen nehmen konnte. Während sie da war, wollte ein Freund, Robert van der Werf, und ich etwas Zeit in der Gegen beim Radeln verbringen. Unser erster Stop -- Cannes, wo das 61. International Film Festival voll im Gang war. .

		Finally, at the end of the day - after spending hours as a student in the perfume school - Angela’s Creation!

	Endlich, am ende des Tages -- nachdem sie einige Stunden als Schülerin in der Parfum - Schule verbrach hatte - Angelas Kreation!

High on the “Piste de Saome”, we were surprised to see Notre Dame d’Afrique.

The next day, we traveled to a smoke-free island -- L’île de Sainte-Marguerite..

Am nächsten Tag sind wir zu einer rauchfreien Insel - L’île de Sainte-Marguerite..

Afterwards, lunch on the beach at Antibes. Here, I went for a swim for the first time this year.

Danach, Mittagessen am Strand bei Antibes. Hier, ging ich zum ersten Mal dieses Jahres schwimmen.
