Only 300 meters from my campsite is the Fisherman’s Beach (Praia dos Pescadores) at Armação de Pera. There’s no harbor here. Each morning, before sunrise, the fishermen push the boats from the beach and go fishing. By noon, at the latest, they have all returned and offer fresh fish for lunch at the small restaurants near the beach.

Nur 300 meters von meinem Campingplatz ist der Fisherstrand (Praia dos Pescadores) in Armação de Pera. Hier gibt es keinen Hafen. Jeden Morgen, vor Sonnenaufgang, schieben die Angler ihre Boote vom Strand ins Meer und fischen. Spätestens bis Mittag sind sie alle wieder da und bieten frische Fische zum Mittag bei den kleinen Restaurants am Strand an.

The First Double-Arch I’ve Ever Seen.

Der erste Doppel-Bogen den ich je gesehen habe.

Only a few kilometers away, the Senorha da Rocha (Lady of the Rock) Beach offers a beautiful view to the church on the cliff.

Nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt, die Senorha da Rocha (Dame des Felsens) Strand bietet eine schöne Aussicht zur Kirche auf dem Felsen. 

Here, the fishermen are still working. These just got the boat back onto the beach and are completing a few tasks before calling it a day.

Hier arbeiten die Fischer noch. Diese haben das Boot gerade auf den Strand gezogen und machen noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten, bevor sie Schluss machen.

Akl the streets near here are lined with these flowers. Today, it was 26 degrees, so the Spring has arrived on the Algarve. Even a few wild orchids could be found on the cliffs.

An allen Strassen in der Nähe sieht man diese Blumen. Heute war es 26 Grad - also, der Frühling ist an der Algarve ausgebrochen. Sogar ein paar wilde Orchideen habe ich an den Klippen gefunden.

Praia de Abandeira was one of the most beautiful beaches I discovered. A hidden tunnel led to the right, where I photographed the picture to the left. Only three people were sunbathing on this hidden beach.

Praia de Abandeira war einer von den Schönsten Strände, die ich entdeckt hatte. Nur ein paar Leute haben sich hier gesonnt. Um dieses Foto zu knipsen, musste ich durch einen versteckter Tunnel gehen. 

Just a few hundred meters along the coast, this sinkhole was surrounded by a security fence.

Nur ein paar hundered Meter an der Küste entlang war dieses Loch mit einem Zaun umringt.

The beach on the right was inaccessibile except by boat. As you can see, the seagulls have taken over this beach and are waiting for the waves to bring in some fresh herring.

Den Strand hier kann man nicht erreichen. Daher haben die Möwen den Strand übernommen und warten auf die Heringe, die immer wieder mit den Wellen hereingebracht werden.
